Took a break from Age Switch Aus to do some DC/Marvel
amalgams. Long ago gave up using Marvel's non-X-Men heroes because than I
wouldn't be able to use the 3rd and 4th stringers that I
love (I accept my obsessions). I think a few of these are clever.
Batman/Cyclops – control freaks, bad with emotion, friends,
and family
Superman/Magneto – best friend is now worst enemy, one of
most powerful people on earth
(Lex Luthor)/Prof. X – best friend is now worst enemy, one
of most powerful people on earth
Flash(Wally)/Multiple Man – insecure, everywhere at once,
terrible sense of humour
Martian Manhunter/Nightcrawler – inhuman appearance, heart
of their team
Green Arrow/Angel – rich, socialites, like kick-ass women
Aquaman/Cap. Britain – responsibilities in non-human
locations take up much time, discovered heritage as adult
Green Lantern(John)/Bishop – serious former officers who
focus on duty
Green Lantern(Kyle)/Colossus – artists, younger members of
their teams
Etrigan/Wolverine – grouchy, really old, trying to control
dark side
Blue Beetle/Beast – brilliant inventor who likes joking with
immature best friend
Booster Gold/Iceman – immature jokester known for not living
up to expectations
John Constantine/Pete Wisdom – sarcastic, cynical Brit who
makes bad decisions and smokes too much
Zachary Zatara/Quicksilver – grouchy, superior relative of
magician
Mr. Miracle/Gambit – escape artist devoted to lady love
Wonder Woman/Storm – goddess-like, strong, elegant, better
than your culture
Big Barda/Rogue – no-nonsense bruiser who started life as
bad guy
Oracle/Shadowcat – genius hackers just waiting for you to
admit they're better than you
Black Canary/Psylocke – elegant ninjas who like showing a
lot of leg and prefer kicking to using their powers
Huntress/Domino – street level heroes who don't mind killing
and don't need your approval
Zatanna/Scarlet Witch – don't fully understand their
limitless magic
Catwoman/Emma Frost – sort of reformed criminals attracted
to repressed heroes
Star Sapphire/Phoenix – periodically possessed by cosmic
powers
Mera/Meggan – don't understand western culture, married
blonds, like green
Question/Sage – always trying to find answers to everything
Power Girl/Marvel Girl – reality traveler, trying to live up
to relative and be own person
Nightwing/Cannonball – leaders who love their siblings
Tempest/Cypher – insecure about their usefullness
Arsenal/Moonstar – good leader, angry, proud to be native,
like bows
Cyborg/Chamber – disfigured and angsty
Beast Boy/Skin – colourful skin, stretchy, like the angsty
and disfigured
Jericho/Karma – possess with a glance
Donna Troy/Magma – classy princesses with continuity snarl
pasts
Raven/Magik – teleporting sorceresses with a tendency to
lose to their dark sides
Starfire/Siryn – emotional red heads separated from parents
by evil relatives
Red Robin/Husk – trying to live up to older brother,
serious, studious, not a natural leader despite wishes
Kid Flash/Jubilee – hyperactive, immature, can be annoying
Superboy/Hellion – really strong? I'm not sure, but it was
one of the first I did and I'm attached for some reason
Blue Beetle/Anole – dry humour, unassuming, likeable
Robin/M – obnoxious, perfect, better than you, trying to
hide the fact that they're a kid
Connor Hawke/Dust – quiet, patient about your ignorance, but
you are very ignorant
Wonder Girl/Armor – competent, strong, feel the pressures of
responsibility
Miss Martian/Pixie – adorably cheerful, innocent, exactly
the same down to name
Ravager/Cuckoos – teammates don't like them, act like
badguys
Supergirl/Hope Summers – trying to be own person despite
pressure to live up to family
Black Bat/X-23 – assassins trained from birth, skilled in
waif-fu
Batgirl/Icarus – the weak one of the family, gratuitous
deaths
Impulse/Surge – Asian speedsters not actually that much
alike
(At one point Dust was a hijabi Supergirl and I was so
happy. Sadly, they have nothing in common.)
