Titans Teams Timeline Expanded

An expanded version that might be easier for people to read.
Edit: Now with SPACES and COLOURS! This may or may not aid reading, but they're fun, and I needed to relax.

Titans Teams Timeline

I wanted to know who was on the Titans during Tim's Teen Titans run. This is surprisingly difficult to figure out. Finally, I just made my own list.
Edit: Now with SPACES!

Interesting Questions to Ask When You’re Genderswapping Characters

There’s nothing wrong with grabbing a male character, making him a woman, changing her costume enough to fit over her chest, adding an ‘–a’ to her name, and sitting back to watch her go. But I always find myself asking tricky questions when I try. And some of them are intriguing, so I decided to share. Really, who doesn’t want to look up all the costumes Quicksilver ever had, find out the year they debuted, and then think up versions that fit the time period and what a comic book artist would put on a Romani woman? (The answer is probably, “Very few people, gecko”, but the question of whether she would wear full skirts despite the wind resistance is an interesting one – Pietro always seemed much more traditional than Wanda.)

Aliases

This is a list of codenames and aliases used by the various legacy heroes of the DCU. Identities used by more than one hero are only listed with the first hero to use them, because I created the list while trying to find codenames that I could give kids if I switched their mentors around and Martian Manhunter suddenly had history of 3 or 4 sidekicks. Also, I haven’t included hardly any Justice Society era characters.

Given Name:
-Codenames
-Aliases
-Alternate Realities

Amalgam AUs

Took a break from Age Switch Aus to do some DC/Marvel amalgams. Long ago gave up using Marvel's non-X-Men heroes because than I wouldn't be able to use the 3rd and 4th stringers that I love (I accept my obsessions). I think a few of these are clever.

The Second Robin (6 different approaches)

I love age reversal verses. They're so limited, though. Why does it always have to be Damian as the oldest and Dick as a baby Robin? There's so many other options. This is just me ruminating on how the various Bats would handle being the second Robin, dying, and coming back.

Aliens and their Naming Conventions(DC Comics)

This was a lot of fun, though I was surprised how little information the internet had for me. Not sure why I was surprised, but surely someone has done this before me.

Parenting Skills of the Batkids:

Because I have a lot of feelings about parenting.

Dick: Possibly a bit unattentive, his child might end up injured a lot, but it seems obvious he’d be great. Unless he has to go through more crap, because I can see him crying on his kid’s shoulder. Really isn’t good at hiding emotion, and kids need you to be strong for them. Still, most secure-in-his-parent’s-love kid ever.

Babs: I think she’d be better than she’d think she was. She’d worry about being cold, but that worry would ensure she let down her walls when she needed too. Her kid would be desperate to be as strong as her, though. Really, Babs is very mature, and has a good role model, she’d do fine.

Jason: Eek. Oh, Jason. You would try SO HARD. Would it be enough? He has ISSUES. I think he would love that kid with every last breath, but I don’t think he could control his temper. Healthy people can’t when dealing with toddlers. I don’t think he would be willing to let any one else raise his child, but he’d also realize he wasn’t really the best person to do it. Hopefully there’d be another parent in the picture? I really don’t know how him parenting could be good. But I want him to succeed!

Tim: Canonically good with kids. I can see him pouring over whatever his kid is passionate about with them. He’d probably try to learn how to parent from books, though, because he really has no role models other than Dick. Might be cold and strict, just because he never really had a chance to be a child. Still he was great with Kon and Bart, he can’t be too bad.

Steph: She’d be okay. Loving, but emotional. She deals with anger by yelling at/hitting people, which might be okay when they’re teenage/adult boys, but would be hard to stop when dealing with a child. Her parents were pretty terrible, and Steph is awesome, but I can see her losing her temper and saying things she’d regret. Her kids would be supported no matter what, and grow up knowing they could be ANYTHING, though.

Cass: Can she read a toddler? Do they have recognizable emotions/reasoning? I think she would get help, possibly a nanny, but would actually be really good most of the time. But you really do need SOME chance to learn by experience. And she’d start off knowing nothing. I’d actually love to see a fic tackling this.

Damian: Oh dear. I’ll leave this for people who know him better. He seems to be learning how to show love?

Dick and Babs are the only ones who had role models, aren’t they? Because Steph’s mom didn’t start trying until she was a teen.

DCU Kids: Or What will the New Teen Titans Look Like?

I decided to make this list after seeing an awesome picture of a Damian era Young Justice/Teen Titans team. I was thinking of how the same few characters are usually used, and there are actually a lot of cool possibilities.

*Characters are usually shown toddler or younger. Supervillians are bolded, civilians are in italics.

If there's anyone else, feel free to add them. Edit: starfata wrote a similar list, which I've used to update this one. I've also added powers.

The Codenames of the Batkids

I recently found out that at one point Cass used the name Kasumi. I've learned about the Batfamily rather piecemeal and I thought maybe other fans could use a primer of the various identities the kids have used over the years. I'm only trying for codenames here, not an accurate history. I had fun doing this, hope it's at least a bit useful.
